NZSE joins with the ESA-SRB Annual Scientific Meeting in Sydney in 2026

We’re excited to be part of this trans-Tasman meeting with ESA-SRB in November - a chance to meet with clinical and biomedical scientist endocrinologists on a bigger scale than we typically muster locally! Dr Kaj Kamstra recipient of the 2025 Emerging Researcher Award

Dr Kaj Kamstra, a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Anatomy at the University of Otago, is the recipient of the 2025 Emerging Researcher Award. Kaj's award lecture (to be presented at the MedSci meeting in September) is titled "Extreme endocrine plasticity in a sex-changing fish".

MedSci to be held at Te Pae, Christchurch in September 2025

NZSE will again participate in the MedSci NZ meeting, to be held at Te Pae, Christchurch on 3-5 September. We will host a pituitary hormone symposium featuring guest speakers Drs Dan Bernard (McGill University, Canada), Kelly Walton (University of Queensland Australia), Zaramasina Clark (Victoria University of Wellington) and Michael Pankhurst (University of Otago), as well as our Medi’Ray Best Student oral presentations, our Emerging Researcher award lecture and poster presentations.
